Review

This review applies to version 8.0 The latest version of this software will soon be reviewed by our informers.

McFunSoft DVD Creator is an easy to use tool to create and burn DVD movies from the videos in your computer. It supports formats that include SVCD, RMVB, RM, WMV, AVI, MPEG, MPEG 1, MPEG 2, MPEG 4, VCD, DVD, MOV, DIVX, as input. It outputs to DVD video disc; DVD disc image file; DVD folder.

The program lets you configure basic settings including: video format (PAL/NTSC), quality, and video aspect. It also includes templates for DVD menu creation.

Its interface is really easy to understand and use. It has a main panel with buttons to add, delete and move video files; a list with info about each input file; a bar to display the current space used by input files; some information about your CD rom; DVD template; and burn buttons. You can create a DVD in 3 or 4 steps.

A downside of this program is the lack of a preview screen that would really help in the creation process, but the overall performance of this tool is good. If you want to test the program, a free 30 day evaluation version is available for download (it won't let you burn more than one video file).
